Sounds easy at first Then there are the experiences of water that you take on.
Water can at the same time be calm and contained And violently break down barriers to its flow.
There are the joyful beginnings of bubbling springs that are allowing you to come forth from the earth Emerging as a cohesive trickle into a broadening brook.
The stream heading downhill is a time of growing and building up force All the while taking the path of least resistance.
Eventually rapids will form as the river descends to the sea And will take you under and expose you to the unseen world beneath the water that will take your breath away.
Sometimes waterfalls of such depths urge you to let go and fall But you hold on for dear life not wanting to go over.
Then there are the dry creek beds of desolate fatigue And you don’t even want to get out of your bed.
Often times after that, storms of rage and floods of anger take you on downstream And will dredge up the sludge that you have to sift through.
Sooner or later, the river merges you with the salty sea, the amniotic fluid of life Enveloping you in the vastness of being.
It is nice to float on calm waters Be rocked back and forth by the soothing waves.
Although, even out at sea there are lurking undercurrents that can take you in the opposite direction from where you are swimming And hurricanes of grand proportions that can rip your home away.
With storms brewing, and to counter the sea sickness, it is sometimes beneficial to go to port for some rest, fun, and restocking supplies But be careful of the debauchery where people congregate, as the waters get murky and spread disease there.
At a certain point, it is about letting go and going with the flow, seeing where the current takes you Just remember there will be high tides and low tides.
Water is learning through all experiences of itself To know yourself completely.
From bubbling spring to raging river A lazy stream and relaxing on calm seas All the while preparing for stormy waters It is in the sewage and in your veins Until the day you evaporate into thin air Waiting to condense someday into fog, or mist, or rain again Maybe snow or ice Falling back down to earth, soaking in, and then eventually emerging again to ride the current to wherever it takes you.
